Export Vulcan Block Model (.bdf) Data File
This screen is shown during the import of a Vulcan text block model (.bdf) file.
To access this screen:
- Using the Data Import screen, select the Vulcan Driver Category.
- Select the Block Model BDF files Data Type.
- Select a Vulcan .bdf file.

Select a text file containing the block model cell records (e.g. a .csv file).
The Vulcan Block Model Read (Step 2 of 3) screen displays.
Activity steps
- Choose which Optional System Fields to export.
- Check Block Ids to export a block ID attribute.
- Check Block Volumes to export a per-cell volume field.
Check Block Lengths to export a length field.
The Select the columns to write list is automatically updated.
- Choose how Block Centroids are defined.
- Choose Real World Coordinates if block centroid values are relative to the 0,0,0 world origin.
- Choose Relative Offsets to define centroids relative to the origin of the model, similar to the IJK system of Datamine block model data.
- Review the file contents below.
Warning: Whilst the attribute names of non-system fields can be swapped to other names in the file, this isn't recommended.
